CARACOL GROUP was born of an hospitality tradition's family. Owners of exclusive seaside BAGNO STEFANELLA a beach club on the Italian Riviera della Versilia, Tuscany, for generations involved in travel and leisure activities, the Barberi family reaches the archipelago of Los Roques, driven by their desire of exploring the most exclusive and beautiful places in the world.

Once in Los Roques they found what many define as "the ultimate paradise on earth", where they came back several times a year, until 1999, when they decided to apply their experience into the restructuring of a magnificent beach house to transform it in what today is POSADA CARACOL,  an extremely refined property in a magnificent environment, mitigated by the typical informal character of the Caribbean sea.

The management of this new activity completely involves the youngest son Fabio,  who moves to the archipelago in order to guarantee an excellent service to his guests. Furthermore, in 2005 they acquired and restructure CASA CARACOL one of the most beautiful lodges of Margarita Island.

Just a short while later, in 2006, driven by the same entrepreneurial spirit and desire to undertake a new experience and to complete the package of services offered, they decide to purchase and fully restructure VILLA CARACOL one of the largest posadas in Los Roques, achieving the same excellent results of the previous experiences.
