Isla de Margarita
Isla de Margarita is known for its long beaches and deep blue of the Caribbean Sea. This island is a renowned destination for windsurfing (it is considered among the 5 best destinations worldwide) due to its excellent wind and crystalline water.
Located in front of the Eastern Coast of Venezuela, the island is divided in two parts: on the West, the peninsula of Macanao, an arid and scarcely populated land characterised by a desert-like landscape; on the East, the vegetation is more flourishing and the majority of the population lives here. Both areas are characterised by a mountainous terrain with peaks over one thousand metres.
